Budapest, May 20, 2010 - Skanska Hungary has won the "Greenest Office of 2010" award in this year's Green Office contest, organized by the KÖVET Association, where companies competed to make their own office environments as green as possible by introducing changes that will have a long-term environmental impact. More than 30 companies took part in the different categories of the contest, which was organized by the KÖVET Association for Sustainable Business, and the prizes were awarded at the Green Office Exhibition on May 18th.

| Skanska plans new green office development in Central Budapest (11:54) |
Budapest, April 20, 2010 – Skanska is preparing for a new office building that will be named
Green House, in Budapest’s 13th district. The building will be constructed in line with
Skanska's strict environmental principles and aims to be certified in accordance with
LEED. The project start is planned to late 2010 and Green House is expected to be ready
for tenants during the first half of 2012, though leases start to be granted this year.
Skanska’s new development is located in a green environment in the 13th District of Budapest, in
the neighborhood of Lehel Square and Dózsa György Street, at the corner of Kassák Lajos and
Lportár Streets. Green House will have a leasable area of 17,500 square meters including roof
terrace, courtyard garden, multilevel underground car park and bicycle garage. |

Skanska has for the third time conducted its market research Skanska Office Index in Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. The result shows that 85% of the responding companies take measures with the aim at reducing environmental impact. Reduced energy use, selective waste collection and use of renewable energy sources are the main factors connected to an environmental responsible property for the companies in Hungary.
“The main part of the Hungarian respondents thinks that the financial terms is the most important factor while renting a new office. We also see that environmental responsibility goes high up on the agenda. In Skanska we have been working with energy efficient buildings for many years and our office building Népliget Center shows that it is possible to develop offices that combine the two important factors – saving energy and money”, says Andreas Lindelöf, Managing Director Skanska Property Hungary. |
