Ericsson Hungary has been a determinant player in the Hungarian telecommunications industry for the past more than 30 years. Ericsson has been the first to implement evolving levels of mobile Internet, including GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSPA, LTE, LTE Advanced, 4G, 4G+, and 5G in Hungary. Ericsson was the first to demonstrate 5G in Hungary with Magyar Telekom.

Today Ericsson Hungary employs almost 2000 persons, and its activities are built on two pillars. Ericsson Hungary is one of the largest companies in Hungary active in the area of telecommunication and information technology research and development. In its activities, the education – basic research – applied research – industrial implementation chain is exemplary. Ericsson Hungary’s main business customers are Magyar Telekom, Vodafone Hungary and Digi Hungary. In the Service Delivery Center, highly educated engineers participate in serving telecommunication systems globally. Furthermore, Ericsson performs field maintenance services for domestic service providers.
