Dr. Tamás Haidegger and his team for Semmelweis hand hygiene scanner as well as Dr. István Kézsmárki and his team, MTA-BME Lendület Magneto-optical Spectroscopy Research Group for Development of Novel Malaria Diagnostic Methods  were awarded by the Chamber.

The Management Board of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hungary on September 26, 2012, voted to establish an innovative award, to popularise the values and attitudes held by Swedish companies in Hungary.
The Board of Directors also decided to ensure the highest quality throughout the process of the Gran Prize initiative, including the choice of professional partners, nominations, the entry process and the board of judges.  It was also decided that in the spirit of Swedish consensus thinking, participation in the project would not be restricted to Swedish companies but would also be extended to other organisations that align themselves with these values.
The SCCH  sent out a call to renowned experts and leaders of professional associations within the field of environmental protection, sustainable development, medicine and education, who can bring a high level of professionalism to the Gran Prize with their commitment.
As a result, SCCH anticipates the participation of brands, companies, associations and institutions, whose work has already contributed to securing and maintaining fundamental human values.

 

 

The Gran Prize Sponsors Ericsson, Sigma Technology  and the Gran Prize itself honour those working on outstanding solutions to the most urgent and crucial challenges facing the planet today, in the field of environmental protection, sustainable development, human rights, medicine, health protection and development and education yearly once.
GRAN in Swedish language means Pine, refers to the sustainable and environment-conscious aspects of the prize.  GRAN PRIZE is open to everyone, in compliance with the Swedish consensus-based thinking and intention of Swedish - Hungarian co-operation.

 

 

 The Gran Prize events for 2016 started on 26 May with Gran Gala at Gundel, continuing with health care and life science lunch hosted by H.E. Niclas Trouvé, Ambassador of Sweden to Hungary at the Residence  on 25 October and finishing with the introduction of the winner to the Members of the Chamber at the traditional SCCH Business event.
